This Guy Knows What He Is Doing So Take Some Notes!
Hello Everyone!
I don’t know if you have heard of this guy named Gary Vaynerchuk or not, but he truly has this whole internet marketing thing down. He started a wine blog like 5 years ago, and he does something like $50 million dollars a year with it.
Watch this presentation he gave at the Web 2.0 Expo – It’s very inspirational and filled with all sorts of golden nuggets you can use:
So how does this apply to us as affiliate marketers, or anyone else who is currently making money online?
Well, the moral of the story is, that while you can certainly make money in niches you know nothing about or even care about, the most money can be made working in a niche that you have a passion for.
I do this currently as well.
My passion niche is Internet Marketing(as I’m sure you could have guessed), as well as the martial arts(working on a martial arts site in the near future).
While I definitely make good money in all sorts of other niches, my most successful niche sites are on a topic I care about and have knowledge on.
I think it’s for a reason.
Now, that doesn’t mean that if you are passionate about ‘himalayan basket weaving’ you should go out right away and start making a website. First thing you need to do is check and make sure people are actively searching for it(and I highly doubt there are many searches on that niche).
But certain niches(especially hobby related ones) like:
- Magic
- Martial Arts
- Fishing
- Fly Fishing
- Bowling
- Swimming
- Skiing
- Snowboarding
- Drawing
- Graphic Design
- Kayaking
- Cooking
- Baking
- Smoking
- Reading
- Watching movies
- Etc.
Will typically have a huge group of ravid and interested buyers.
If your interest lies in a niche like the ones listed above, by all means go for it!
I hope you found this post useful, and thank you for reading!

Is this going to be a WSO ? I mean your upcoming IM site?
Zac,
I don’t think I’m going to be offering this one as a WSO.
At least not for awhile. There is a lot involved with this program so I want to be 100% sure it’s all going OK before I start to market it on a grander scale.
I already tested it all myself and it all works ok, but I want to see how it holds up with a large number of people accessing it before I go all out.
Thanks!
Dan
Look forward to it’s launch Dan. Was re-reading your Warrior post on making money with Amazon (along with the 250 ish replies … wow!).
Thanks for the video too – I don’t think people realise how much good stuff is on YouTube from these summits.
Al
This is great, thank you for sharing this………….love people…………..people would return it promoting your brand…………
I checked out this guys site, awesome intensity and energy. Can you shed some light onto how he is making $50 mil for the site please?
Thanks mate
Glad you all liked it – I felt that it was perfect for us, so I had to share it.
Robin,
He monetizes it in a whole bunch of ways.
He does product placements, he has a $97/m wine club, and he also endorses wine related products if i’m not mistaken.
Thanks,
Dan
Dan,
I think one of the reasons Gary Vaynerchuk is so successful is the fact that most people are intimidated when it comes to wine, and he comes across as a regular guy. That takes the intimidation right out of it.
The other reason he’s so successful is because of his drive, which he alluded to in the video when he told the audience to stop watching “Lost” and just get out there and do it.
This video is very motivational. He is very direct and to the point which is what most people need. “If you want to buy the bling bling, Stop watching ‘Lost’ and work.”
That was awesome !!!
Man this guy is awesome! do the point no messing around and tell’s it like it should be. I’m very pleased to have received this to view. Thanks
Wow, I thought this guy sounds wacko. Then I began to hear the message. Thanks for sharing.
Dan,
Excellent video, my man!
He summed it up so perfectly… if you want to live the “Internet lifestyle”, you’ve got to WORK for it! Imagine that, WORK, that dirty four letter word. I was hoping I could avoid it. So much for push-button money printing systems, eh?
Thanks for sharing,
Fred S.
I’ve never heard of this guy, but I like his style and intensity. I think the biggest message to be taken from this is that if you want something, you have to work for it. If this was as easy as pressing a few buttons on your mouse, everyone would be a millionaire. An internet business is no different than any other endeavor in life. If you’re willing to be patient and take your lumps and learn from both success and failure, eventually you’ll succeed. Thanks for the video.
Awesome my man, told it how it is.
Mike
Thanks for the great video.
I agree that internet marketing takes serious work, unless you have the money to throw at it.
People that get into I.M. for “automated profits” drop out quickly.
Hey Dan,
What an inspiring video!
He came out saying PP- Patience and Passion, and Fred from Golden Rule Internet Marketing added the third crucial piece- W – Work! So lets remember PPW: Patience, Passion, and Work.
Gary is so connected to his vision.
This is an inspiring video.
Anything coming from you or Gary is always something that I pay attention to.
Thanks for sending me the link.
